Musée des Abénakis (Abenakis’ Museum)

The bilingual IOS application was developed as an educational support tool for the archeological research project at Odanak Fort. The main focus of this interactive journey using a digital tablet is to provide visitors, near and far, access to the words and memories of the Abenaki community in a general, interactive documentary approach. The experience is available through three activities, both inside and outside the museum. The application offers many dynamic and interactive video clips showing interviews and 2D graphic animations, mini 360 degrees films on a timeline recounting the significant historical events, through a virtual, heightened reality approach and several processed archive photos. These three main areas of virtual content enrichment are the result of a deep will to preserve and spread the memory of the Abenaki of the area.
